FULL LIST: Obasanjo farm & 27 feeders downgraded by IBEDC

FULL LIST: The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has published a list of previously categorized Band A feeders, now reassigned to Bands B, C, D, or E.

In the recent release by IBEDC, the Farm Feeder supplying Obasanjo Farm has been downgraded from Band A to Band E. This alteration affects approximately 28 feeders across Oyo, Ogun, Kwara, and Osun States.

According to the list, certain areas have experienced a drastic reduction in power supply, with some dropping from 20 hours of daily electricity to zero hours. This adjustment follows the guidelines set by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, aligning the feeders with their appropriate power allocation bands.

In a separate development, during the announcement of the April 2024 supplementary Multi-Year Tariff Order, the Federal Government declared an end to subsidies on electricity consumed by Band A customers. Consequently, these customers are now required to pay N225/KWh, while other customers continue with previous rates.
