Media personality Toke Makinwa has taken to social media to lament the economic challenges facing the country. The actress expressed her exhaustion with the demands of being an independent woman. Makinwa, who had just returned from an overseas trip, shared her dismay at encountering fuel shortages and a rise in electricity tariffs upon her arrival home.
She wrote: “Yoooo, landed in Lagos to all this madness, petrol scarcity, electricity tariff hike, diesel prices not smiling. What is all these? Independent woman don taya [tire] o.”
Recall that Toke Makinwa separated from her estranged husband, Maje Ayida, in 2015 after discovering that he had impregnated his ex-girlfriend.
