Nollywood actor Mofe Duncan has dismissed rumors suggesting that he was indirectly criticizing his colleague, Angela Okorie, regarding the pronunciation of Basmati Rice.
Earlier, Duncan had clarified the correct pronunciation, stating it is “Basmati Rice,” not “Bamatic Rice.” Given Okorie’s previous reference to Indian subcontinent rice as “Basmatic rice,” some assumed his remark was aimed at her.
In response, Duncan criticized bloggers for attempting to spark conflict between him and his colleague, emphasizing that his comment was directed at restaurant and fast-food staff, not Okorie.
