The Adamawa State Executive Council has granted approval for the allocation of N4.7 billion to complete the long-abandoned stadium, signaling a significant step towards alleviating youth restiveness in the region.
For years, Adamawa state has lacked a suitable stadium, but this situation is set to change in the near future. Despite this setback, state athletes have achieved remarkable success in various sports, bringing honor to the region.
Now, there is renewed hope for the youth as the State Executive Council demonstrates a serious commitment to completing the abandoned stadium. Following the SEC meeting, the Commissioner for Information confirmed that funds have been designated for the completion of the Jimeta Permanent Stadium.
Additionally, it was announced that the SEC meeting has authorized the formal transfer of the Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) of the Federal Medical Centre, Hong, to the Federal Ministry of Health to facilitate its proper utilization.
Furthermore, the SEC approved a contract variation for the ongoing superhighway construction from FGGC to AA Lawan at a cost of N18.8 billion. This underscores the consistent effort of the SEC in endorsing developmental projects since Governor Fintiri’s reelection for a second term in office.
