PDP leaders switch allegiance to APC. Former Chairman of the Senate Committee on Public Accounts, Matthew Uroghide, and the former Clerk of the National Assembly have switched allegiance from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress in preparation for the Edo State Governorship Election.
They are among the many PDP members in Edo State who have pledged their support to the APC at a gathering in Benin City. Former National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, addressed the gathering and extended apologies to some of the defectors for past decisions that led to their departure from the party they helped build.
He assured them that they would all be welcomed and respected within the APC fold. Additionally, Oshiomhole emphasized that the event underscores the readiness of the All Progressives Congress for the upcoming Edo State Governorship Election.
