Remo Stars coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, believes his team is well-positioned to vie for the Nigeria Premier Football League title this season.
Following a 2-1 home victory against Rivers United on Monday, the Ikenne-based club moved within one point of league leaders Rangers.
While Rangers coach Fidelis Ilechukwu downplayed his team’s chances of clinching the title despite their current top position, Ogunmodede expressed optimism about Remo Stars’ prospects.
“The title is within our reach,” Ogunmodede stated. “We are determined to capitalize on the fact that our competitors are still in the building phase. We are eager to vie for the trophy.”
Remo Stars finished in second place in the NPFL last season.
