The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, expressed gratitude to the commission’s staff for their dedication to combating corruption. Speaking in Abuja on Wednesday to mark the 2024 Workers’ Day, Olukoyede praised the intelligence, integrity, focus, and commitment of the EFCC employees, recognizing their crucial role as builders of the nation.
In a statement issued by EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale, Olukoyede emphasized the significance of upholding values such as courage, integrity, professionalism, and collaboration in the fight against corruption. He urged EFCC staff to remain resolute and fearless, stressing that these values serve as their most potent weapons against corruption.
Olukoyede acknowledged that combating corruption demands the continuous dedication of individuals who embody these values. He emphasized the importance of periodically acknowledging and appreciating their efforts, describing their work as a labor of love.
The EFCC chairman extended his best wishes to all Nigerian workers and underscored the importance of coupling productivity with integrity. He affirmed that corruption tarnishes the nation’s image and must be vigorously combated.
