Barcelona’s manager, Xavi Hernandez, has had a change of heart regarding his departure from the club this summer.
Reports suggest that Xavi met with the club’s president, Joan Laporta, and sporting director, Deco, on Wednesday night. Following the meeting, he reconsidered his decision and agreed to the terms to remain in charge of the LaLiga side.
Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, shared the development on his social media platform, stating: “BREAKING: Xavi has decided to change his mind and STAY as Barcelona manager! After tonight’s meeting and Laporta insisting for him to stay, Xavi accepts Barça conditions and will continue as head coach. Formal steps to follow.”
Earlier in February, Xavi had announced his intention to leave the Nou Camp at the conclusion of the current season.
