The Osun State Government (Governor Adeleke) has made it clear that Mrs. Titilola Adeleke remains the First Lady of Osun and is not the second wife of the Governor, Ngozi Adeleke. According to a statement by the Governor’s spokesperson, Mallam Rasheed Olawale, Mrs. Titilola Adeleke will officially host the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, in Osogbo on Tuesday, as directed by the Governor.
On Monday, some flyers purportedly from the offices of the state Governor’s wives emerged, with both Mrs. Titilola Adeleke and Ngozi Adeleke welcoming the First Lady of Nigeria to the state in their capacities as First Ladies of Osun State. However, the statement disowns the flyer from Ngozi Adeleke’s office and affirms Mrs. Titilola Adeleke as the First Lady of Osun State.
The statement clarifies that the flyer was not authorized by Ngozi Adeleke and suggests that it was created and circulated by individuals aiming to sow discord and confusion. The person responsible for the flyer has reportedly been apprehended and questioned. The statement encourages residents to warmly welcome the President’s wife to the state.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu is expected to inaugurate the groundbreaking ceremony for an alternative school for girls in Osogbo on Tuesday.
