Air Strikes Eliminate 3 Terrorist commanders. According to NAF spokesperson Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, on April 16, the terrorist leaders Ali Dawud, Mallam Ari, and Bakurah Fallujah, along with their fighters, were eliminated on April 13 at ISWAP hideouts within Kolleram village along the shores of Lake Chad. The airstrikes also targeted and destroyed several terrorist vehicles, motorcycles, and logistical assets.
Gabkwet stated, “Intelligence gathered post-air strike indicated that the aerial bombardment effectively destroyed a key facility within the Kolleram enclave, which served as a hub for the terrorists’ food processing activities, including grinding machines.” He emphasized that the destruction of the terrorists’ logistics severely impeded their operational capabilities.
He further added, “The success of these airstrikes underscores NAF’s commitment to eradicating terrorism and ensuring the safety and security of Nigerian citizens.”
